Recent progress in the Standard Model theory of neutron beta decay |
Speaker: | Chien-Yeah Seng (Michigan State University & University of Washington) |
Abstract: | In this talk I will review the status of the Standard Model theory of neutron beta decay. Particular emphasis is put on the recent developments of the ``innerâÂÂâ and ``outerâÂÂâ electroweak radiative corrections, and the isospin-symmetry-breaking correction to the Fermi matrix element. The use of dispersion relation, lattice Quantum Chromodynamics and effective field theory framework allows for high-precision theory calculations
at the level of 10^{âÂÂ4}, turning neutron beta decay into a powerful tool to search for new physics. I offer an outlook to the future improvements.

Lattice QCD calculations of contributions to nEDM |
Speaker: | Rajan Gupta (Los Alamos National Laboratory ) |
Abstract: | I will describe lattice QCD calculations of the contributions to nEDM from the theta term, quark EDM and quark chromo EDM operators being carried out by the Los Alamos collaboration after a brief introduction to lattice QCD. |
