Counting N=2 Black Holes
Speaker:Suresh Nampuri (IST Lisbon)
Abstract:We evaluate the quantum entropy function of four-dimensional dyonic single-center BPS black holes in the N=2 STU model of Sen and Vafa. By working in a region of moduli space where the real part of two of the three complex scalars S,T,U are taken to be large, we find that the quantum entropy function calculation points to a microstate counting formula partly based on a Siegel modular form of weight two, supplemented by mock modular forms and the Rankin Cohen brackets. Based on work with Gabriel Cardoso and Davide Polini (arXiv:1903.07586)

A Cornucopia of AdS Vacua
Speaker:Nikolay Bobev (KU Leuven)
Abstract:I will summarize recent progress in the search for AdS solutions in four- and five-dimensional maximal gauged supergravity. Through an amalgam of analytic and numerical techniques it is possible to systematically study the critical points of the potential in these supergravity theories which in turn leads to many novel AdS backgrounds that can be embedded in string or M-theory. I will also discuss the spectrum of quadratic fluctuations around these solutions and their perturbative stability. Finally I will comment on the the implications of these results to the gauge/gravity duality.
