Liouville and JT quantum gravity |

Abstract: | In this talk, we will discuss recent progress in understanding quantum gravity amplitudes in Liouville and JT gravity. We focus on two main results: the Liouville gravity results can be viewed as q-deformations of the JT answers, and Liouville gravity can be written as a 2d dilaton gravity model with a sinh dilaton potential. These facts can be linked when using the Poisson-sigma model framework. We end with some prospects towards understanding generic dilaton gravity models. Based on arXiv:2109.07770 and earlier work. |

BMS charges at the critical sets of null infinity |

Abstract: | In this talk I will discuss the relation between Friedrichâs description of spatial infinity and alternative formulations by Ashtekar-Hansen and Ashtekar-Romano. Moreover I will show how Friedrichâs framework can be used to relate a number of objects defined at null infinity to data on a Cauchy surface.Particular attention will be given to the so-called BMS charges associated to supertranslations in the case of linear fields and the case of the full non-linear GR. Writing the asymptotic charges in terms of initial data allows to establish, in a natural way, the correspondence between charges at future and past null infinity without the need of introduced an ad hoc âantipodal identificationâ. Moreover it allows to clarify the required regularity of the solutions for the charges to be well defined and express these regularity requirements in terms of freely specifiable data. |

Hydrodynamics and transport near the QCD chiral critical point |

Abstract: | The evolution of a heavy ion collision passes close to the O(4) critical point of QCD, where fluctuations of the order parameter are expected to be enhanced. I will discuss both the appropriate stochastic hydrodynamic equations in mean field and the real time simulations near the pseudo-critical point. I will show that the chiral fluctuations modify the transport coefficients of QCD, the production of soft pions is enhanced and the dynamical critical exponent is in line with theoretical prediction. |
